ASCAE: "Our mission is to support young people in fostering skills and competencies"
The AI VET Erasmus+ project integrates AI into the technical and professional training of SMEs, with ASCAE among the partners: a Southern Italian social enterprise, dedicated to supporting young people in developing skills through targeted activities. The project manager Maria Pina Triunfo underlines the transformation of the VET sector and the importance of involving teachers, trainers, and stakeholders to maximize the benefits.
Maria Pina highlights the crucial value of AI VET for ASCAE: «At ASCAE we have a solid relationship with young people and are launching numerous initiatives with them. In particular, we are focusing on curriculum development: a complex task that requires guiding teachers and students in the use of AI, integrating it into daily school teaching and responding to the needs of the labor market.» ASCAE actively contributes by creating cutting-edge teaching tools and targeted training modules to overcome the AI skills gap in SMEs and educational institutions.
In an increasingly digital Europe, Maria Pina insists on the necessity of moving from the theory to the practical application of AI in training and work contexts. AI VET represents a springboard for teachers and trainers towards digital transition, with personalized courses and concrete resources that promote inclusive and sustainable innovation.
