A total of 12 people tested positive for COVID, while another 19 recovered overnight, bringing Malta's number of active cases down to 252.
One death - that of a 95-year-old woman who passed away at Mater Dei Hospital - was reported over the past 24 hours by the health authorities.
The new cases
Thirty new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Wednesday. No new deaths were registered for the third day in a row.
This is the 16th consecutive day that the number of new daily coronavirus cases remained below 50.
The new cases were detected from 1,785 swab tests.
Another 38 people recovered
Nine new cases of COVID-19 were registered on Thursday, the health ministry has announced.
29 recoveries were registered, bringing the number of active cases to 260.
1,971 swab tests were carried out in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of swabs to 878,041.
No deaths
Twenty-seven new COVID-19 cases were recorded on Monday as no new deaths were recorded for the second day in a row.
This is the 15th consecutive day that the number of new daily cases remained below 50.
