Total outbound tourists for the first quarter in 2024 were estimated at 178,995, an increase of 13.2 per cent over the corresponding quarter of 2023. Total nights spent amounted to 1,197,923.
In 2023, registered business units within the statistical business register amounted to 140,540, an increase of 2.4 per cent, or 3,334 registered units, over 2022.
In December 2023, registered full-time employment increased by 7.6 per cent, while part-time employment as a primary job increased by 4.0 per cent when compared to December 2022.
In the first quarter of 2024, the stock of licensed motor vehicles increased by 831 over the previous quarter.
Total inbound tourists for March 2024 were estimated at 240,851, an increase of 38.1 per cent when compared to the corresponding month in 2023.
During March 2024, the industrial producer price index registered a decrease of 0.3 per cent when compared to the corresponding month of 2023.
