Index Industrial Production:February 2023
The monthly Index of Industrial Production (IIP) is a business cycle indicator. It provides an early measure of change in the volume of industrial output produced by domestic businesses in the manufacturing, energy, and quarrying sectors in Malta.
During February 2023, the industrial producer price index registered an increase of 4.59 per cent when compared to the corresponding month of 2022.
During 2022, Government outlay towards Social Security Benefits rose by €80.9 million in comparison to 2021.
The seasonally adjusted monthly unemployment rate for February 2023 stood at 3.0 per cent, at par with the previous month.
