Outbound tourist trips from July to September 2023 reached 248,094 (+28.3 per cent), while total nights spent amounted to 1,817,893 nights (+30.5 per cent). Italy remained the most popular destination with a share of 38.9 per cent.

The majority of guest nights (57.7 per cent) were spent in rented accommodation establishments. Outbound tourist trips in the first three quarters of 2023 reached 595,717 (+41.3 per cent) while total nights spent surpassed 4.1 million nights (+38.3 per cent). Total tourism expenditure for the first three quarters of 2023 was estimated at €538.7 million (+50.1 per cent) while expenditure per capita stood at €904 (+6.2 per cent).
