Vernian RTI Ltd.: "AI can help vocational training teachers"
A new European project aims to transform vocational training in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs): this is AI VET, an initiative funded by the Erasmus+ programme dedicated to the integration of artificial intelligence into technical and vocational training pathways. Among the project partners of the international consortium Vernian stands out, an organization based in Nicosia (Cyprus) and led by Pambos Pantziaros, which is active in the fields of research, technology, and innovation.
Pambos Pantziaros emphasizes the strategic importance of AI VET for his organization: «Artificial intelligence is transforming all sectors, especially the technical and vocational education and training (VET) sector, and we consider it important that our stakeholders—VET teachers, VET trainers, and other clients—are part of this change and benefit from it».
Vernian’s commitment to the project aims to develop and disseminate innovative teaching tools and specific training modules, designed to bridge the AI skills gap within SMEs and training institutions.
In an increasingly digital and competitive European context, Pambos stresses that it is fundamental not only to know the concepts of artificial intelligence but also to know how to apply them concretely in educational and professional settings.
AI VET is therefore presented as an opportunity to support teachers and trainers in digital transformation, offering tailor-made courses and practical resources capable of fostering inclusive and responsible digitalization.
